Avail Advanced 1 Wins Bicycling Magazine’s Editors’ Choice
April 27, 2017
The Liv Avail Advanced 1 won over Bicycling Magazine’s editors’ with its inherent ability to go from comfy endurance machine to responsive climber in one fell swoop, making it right at home with, “the very best road bikes of 2017.” The Bicycling Magazine Editors’ Choice Awards are highly anticipated and announced at one of the biggest cycling events of the year: the Sea Otter Classic.
With Liv’s Advanced-grade Composite frame, Shimano Ultegra drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes, and a fit designed from the ground up for the female rider, Bicycling’s editors raved about Avail Advanced’s ability to quiet road vibrations for a smooth and predictable ride.
“I hadn’t ridden for a long time, but when I got on the Avail, I didn’t even think about that. In fact, I kinda forgot I was on a bike I’d never ridden,” said one editor.
But more than its comfy-cozy ride quality, fit, and Liv Contact Forward saddle that Bicycling’s Caitlin Giddings likened to a “Papasan chair at the end of a long day,” Bicycling Magazine also applauded Avail Advanced for having enough get-up-and-go to conquer any ride you throw at it.
“The Avail is the kind of bike you want with you on a long ride, a short ride, or a short ride that turns into a long ride after three missed turns,” said Giddings in her March 1 review.
